For fresh produce, the quality is best preserved when they are transported within a temperature range of 0 to 8 degrees. Stability in the temperature range is of great importance. Furthermore, the space in which the goods are transported should preferably be dry and dark to prevent the formation of mold. Gel packs or gel pack strings offer an excellent solution for transporting goods within a temperature range of 0 to 8 degrees. Gel packs are extremely suitable for cooling goods for transport up to 48 hours (depending on external conditions).

It is recommended to use the No sweat gel packs to avoid surface condensation during transport. These gel packs are a good option for moisture-sensitive products such as fruit and vegetable products, because the products themselves remain as dry as possible during transport. Fruit and vegetables are often transported on Euro or block pallets. To achieve temperature stability and to keep the goods cool for a while, the means can be combined with pallet covers. In this way a kind of origin is formed, as it were. This protects the vulnerable products against external influences during transport.
