The Dutch New is wrapped in paper and around it is protected by plastic. It is best to place a gel pack between the paper and the plastic. Then the herring can be shipped in an EPS box or given to the end customer in a cooler bag.

Because of this constant cooling, the fish maintains its quality until it lands on the plate. This is nice for the customer, but also for you! Moreover, you can print the gel packs, which is a nice extra marketing tool. Namely, you increase brand awareness among customers because everyone sees your logo. In addition, more gel packs are returned by regular customers, making it a more sustainable product.

Fish transportation tips:

  • Freeze the gel packs well.
  • The fish should not be in direct contact with the cooling element
  • Use correct amount of gel packs: consider contents and duration of transport
  • When you use the right insulation, it will remain for a long time
