Element PCM +22 °C

The blue cooling element: a classic we grew up with at Coolpack. This Phase Change Material cooling element has a capacity of 1400 ml and is made of strong material. This element is filled with PCM for +22°C. Perfect for temperature-controlled shipments that need to stay between +15°C and +25°C, also named as ‘controlled ambient transport‘ for perishable food, drugstore and medical products.

Coolpack cooling elements: high quality, reliable performance

At Coolpack, we guarantee cooling elements that do not leak during transport and provide excellent cooling performance. The hard plastic material the cooling elements are made of is standard HDPE (High Density Polyethylene): strong, reusable for a long time and 100% recyclable.

All our cooling elements are produced on site in Assendelft and can be filled with a cooling filling with eutectic melting point down to -65º C or up to +89º C. You can therefore also use them for deep-freeze transport, or for ambient temperature transport. Contact us for the possibilities.

Personalizing your cooling element

You can have the cooling elements personalized in several ways. From adding a label (small quantities) to punching out your logo in the mold (10,000 pieces or more). They can also be packaged by desired number and delivered in a display. Contact us for options and a free quote.

Sustainable alternatives

When you have return flows, reusable cooling elements are a much more sustainable choice than single-use gel packs. The hard plastic material from which the cooling elements are made is standard HDPE (High Density Polyethylene): strong, long reusable and 100% recyclable. But we offer even more sustainable alternatives:

  • rHDPE: This material is recycled and consists of at least 90% regranulate. Also fully recyclable after use.
  • Biobased: This is a bioplastic with renewable resources (sugarcane) as the raw material instead of virgin raw materials (oil). Also fully recyclable after use and possible to produce in line with food safety regulations.

Recycling Instructions

You can reuse our form-fixed cooling elements very often. Has your cooling element reached the end of its useful life? Thaw these, put the filling in the residual waste and recycle the outer bottle in the plastic waste. It is made of HDPE, making it completely recyclable. This includes the sustainable alternatives of rHDPE and renewable HDPE.
