How can ice packs be optimally used to transport goods at the right temperature? This is a question our customers regularly ask.
It’s important for the ice packs to be completely frozen. Ice packs can be ready for the chilled transport of your products within one to three days. There is a difference between ice packs supplied in boxes and crates.
Crates have the advantage of optimally letting air through. The boxes supplied by Coolpack for ice packs are also equipped with air holes. Cold air is pumped around in a freezer. The more efficiently this air gets to the ice packs, the quicker these will freeze. The ice packs won’t be suitable for the chilled transport of your goods until they have been thoroughly frozen. If you need the ice packs urgently and the freezing of a pallet of ice packs needs to be done as quickly as possible, we would recommend breaking up the pallet, or to position the boxes in such a way that the cold air can easily blow past the ice packs and subsequently freeze much quicker.
It’s important for the ice pack to be in an insulating environment during the transport of your products, for example in an EPS box, which will allow the load to remain optimally chilled.
